May 28,  · "Flight " is fun, with the barrelhouse piano (Ian Stewart?) reprising the classic riff from 'Satisfaction' in the opening. "Going Home" is for Stones' fans only. I get a kick out of it, but it's basically Jagger masturbating with the mike for eight minutes! This album does showcase the songwriting talents of Mick and Keith/5().

The Rolling Stones: Sound Opinions on the Great Rock 'n' Roll Rivalry (), Jim DeRogatis and Greg Kot agree that Aftermath is "the first really great Stones album beginning to end", with DeRogatis especially impressed by the British edition's first half of songs.

"Goin' Home" is a song by rock band The Rolling Stones featured on their album Aftermath. At 11 minutes and 35 seconds, it was the longest popular music song at the time and the first extended rock improvisation released by a major recording act.

after 40 years or so Aftermath remains one of the greatest Rolling Stones' album. It's Brian Jones at his peak and even though he didn't have a single writing credit his influence is everywhere: marimbas, sitar, dulcimer- he really colors the albums and he elevates the /5().
